Multiple sources confirm that SAG-AFTRA and the studios powering the entertainment industry have reached a tentative deal ending the 118-day actor’s strike.

After being presented with a revised deal by execs, the actors guild’s 17-member negotiating committee unanimously voted in favor of the agreement to the SAG-AFTRA board.

The new pact, which will come into effect as of 12:01 am PT on November 9, will see Hollywood return to business as usual within a matter of weeks.

Definitive terms of the deal are expected as the story of the strike’s end unfolds. However, it’s widely publicized that the central issues that ignited the strike and the standoff were related to streaming residuals, the use of AI, and base pay for talent.
